Parent's Association
Our first Parent's Association was formed in May 2008. The Parent's Association is the structure through which parents/guardians in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parent's Association works with the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective partnership of home and school. Two parents from the parent body are elected to the board of management every four years. Prior to the election, a note will be sent inviting all parents who are interested to attend a public meeting where an election of both a male and female parent takes place.
From its formation, the Parent's Association has been most active in organizing events to support the school. They have held a number of very imaginative fund raising activities, generating funds for the school, and of course the main beneficiaries are the children. Their support for our school is much appreciated and valued. Evidence of this can be seen in our well equipped school, computer room and well stocked library.
