Happy Halloween
Friday 25th of November was a frightfully fun day at school as we celebrated Halloween with a special Dress-Up Day! The entire school was filled with amazing costumes, from spooky witches to brave superheroes, and everyone showed off their Halloween spirit. A huge thank you to the three 2nd classes for hosting a fantastic assembly – they did a brilliant job sharing spooky poems and leading us in Halloween songs. Well done to all the children for their creative costumes and for making the day so memorable! Thank you also to Rex for the stand up comedy routine.

World Book Day 2023
2/3/23
Today we celebrated World Book Day in St Benedicts. There was massive effort put into costumes by children and staff and we would like to thank all the parents and guardians for taking the time to get involved. A big thank you also goes to Mrs McDonald for organising such a fun day.
There were lots of book related activities today. Mr Flesk read a story to all classes in rooms 1-12 and there was a Harry Potter quiz for rooms 13- 24. The quiz winner in each class recieved an Easons gift card and all children in the school also got a book voucher. Classes made book marks and created their own books and older students read books to younger students. It really was a lovely day.

Save Dublin Zoo
A huge thank you to all pupils, parents, teachers and everyone who donated to our Save Dublin Zoo fundraiser. On last count we had over €1200 collected for Dublin Zoo which is truly amazing. Thank you for your generosity and support and for your creativity with homemade t-shirts, face painting and animal themed clothing!
Halloween
There were terrifying scenes at St Benedict's as the school was taken over by ghouls, vampires and witches. Luckily for us they all turned out to be very friendly but we had Iron Man, Captain America, Super Woman and the Hulk on standby just in case things turned nasty! Well done to all the boys and girls for dressing up today and to the parents for putting in massive effort to make this a Halloween day to remember.

Welcome Back!
1st of September 2020
It was a bright and sunny Tuesday morning when we finally got to welcome back all of our pupils to St Benedict's. It was lovely to see all their smiling faces and for the classrooms to be filled with chatter and laughter once again. The pupils were excellent at lining up 2 metres apart along the designated cones. They all washed their hands and used their classroom sanitiser on entering their room and then sat at their assigned pod. They adapted so well to the new routines and it was wonderful for us all to have a sense of normality again. A special welcome goes to all our new junior infants who were so brave coming in on their first morning. We hope they are very happy here.

News2Day
28.02.17
After the success of their Christmas play, we knew it wouldn’t be long before RTE came knocking on the door of Ms Ahern’s Second Class. Yesterday, the 28th of February, Barry Colleary from the National Transport Authority visited our class to tell us all about the NTA and the National Household Travel Survey that’s taking place this year, and RTE were there to capture all the action. Presenter Tommy Meskill from the News2Day programme came along, tried out our hoverboard and asked us about the various ways that children here at St Benedict’s get to and from school and what modes of transport we liked the most. A massive to thank you to Ms McNamee and Ms MacGuill who were put through their paces, dodging a few high speed scooters to help us yesterday.
